Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp downplayed a touchline disagreement with star forward Mohamed Salah, insisting the team is united despite a challenging season.

Cameras captured a heated exchange between Klopp and Salah during the 2-2 draw at West Ham last weekend. While refusing to disclose the specifics of the argument, Klopp assured reporters on Friday that the incident is water under the bridge.

“It’s completely resolved, it’s no problem,” Klopp emphasized. He acknowledged the strong bond between himself and Salah as key to resolving the disagreement quickly. “We’ve known each other for so long, and there’s a lot of respect there. That’s why it wasn’t a big issue.”

The manager highlighted the importance of internal communication and dealing with matters privately. “We have the right to address these things internally, without outside pressures,” he said.

Klopp’s comments come amidst a crucial period for Liverpool. The Reds’ title hopes have significantly diminished after the West Ham draw, leaving them five points behind Arsenal with just three games remaining. Their Champions League dreams were shattered earlier, and the FA Cup and Europa League exits added to a season of missed opportunities.

Despite the setbacks, Klopp remains focused on finishing the season strong. “The ideal scenario would be everyone performing at their peak, winning games, and scoring goals. In that situation, such disagreements probably wouldn’t even arise,” he admitted. “Everything on the pitch is connected.”

With the Carabao Cup their only remaining trophy chance in Klopp’s final season at the helm, the German manager is determined to end his tenure on a high.
