Engin Firat Unveils Harambee Stars Provisional Squad for AFCON Qualifiers

Harambee Stars head coach, Engin Firat, has officially announced the provisional squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Zimbabwe and Namibia. The two-legged fixtures are scheduled to take place between September 2nd and 10th, 2024.

The 26-man squad features a blend of experienced internationals and promising young talents. Notably, including several foreign-based players signals the coach’s intent to bolster the team’s competitiveness on the continental stage.

The Harambee Stars will face Zimbabwe in their opening qualifier on September 2nd at home before traveling to Namibia for the return leg on September 10th. The team will aim to secure a place in the final tournament, which is scheduled in Côte d’Ivoire in 2025.
