The TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup has delivered a knockout punch of drama, culminating in a final four that promises fireworks! Wednesday night witnessed the dramatic conclusion of the quarter-finals, leaving football fans buzzing after a series of captivating clashes and one truly seismic upset.

Forget the script – debutants Stellenbosch FC of South Africa have sent shockwaves across the continent! In a result that will be etched in the competition’s history, the unfancied Stellies stunned reigning champions Zamalek in their own Cairo fortress. A solitary goal, mirroring their first-leg victory, sealed a remarkable 1-0 aggregate triumph, sending the Egyptian giants crashing out and igniting dreams in the Stellenbosch camp.

Joining the South African heroes in the semi-finals are Algeria’s CS Constantine, Tanzania’s powerhouse Simba SC, and Morocco’s seasoned campaigners, RS Berkane. Constantine continued their giant-slaying form, having already ousted another former champion in USM Algers, proving their mettle on the continental stage. Meanwhile, Simba SC navigated their quarter-final tie with characteristic grit and determination, setting up a tantalizing clash in the next round.
